Filler, Botox, and Medical Microneedling

What are BOTOX™ and Dysport?
BOTOX™ and Dysport are brand names of the botulinum toxin. These are injected into the muscle, weakening and relaxing the overworked facial muscles that cause wrinkles. BOTOX™ and Dysport are safe, highly effective, and approved by Health Canada and the FDA for cosmetic use.
How does the Procedure work?
We begin with a consultation to determine how many units are required to achieve the desired result. Once units are determined, we will examine your facial muscles for injection placement and administer the neuromodulator in small amounts until the desired effect is achieved. The appointment usually takes around 30 minutes.
Who is a good candidate?
Men and women looking to smooth out current lines and creases in the skin or those looking to prevent lines and creases from forming are great candidates for neuromodulators (BOTOX and Dysport). Those ideal for treatment are between the ages of 20-70!
Treatment Areas?
Treatment areas include the forehead, crow's feet, frown lines, mouth corners, masseter muscles, neck, underarms, and chin.

When will I see the results? Is there any downtime?
The onset of the product varies between BOTOX and Dysport; Dysport works faster than Botox. Typically, it takes only 24 hours for the results of Dysport treatments to become visible. For Botox, it takes about 72 hours for the positive effects of the treatments to fully form. Full results are visible about 14 days following your appointment. Results typically last anywhere from three to four months. Although there is no actual 'downtime,' we ask clients to refrain from lying down, exercising, consuming alcohol, and taking a hot shower for at least 4 hours following their treatment.
With wrinkle relaxers, it’s not one-size-fits-all. To mirror this belief, we charge by unit. You only pay for what you need — no blanket charges.

Privacy
Your privacy is so important to us. We understand that not everyone needs to know what treatments you’re in for, or what you’ve had done. Upon arrival, we’ll usher you into a private room for your wrinkle relaxer intake. Afterward, feel free to do a little touch-up in the treatment room before you face the world again.
What to Avoid
We recommend avoiding the below:
â– Drinking alcohol 12 hours prior to your wrinkle relaxer treatment
â– Vigorous exercise for about 24 hours post-treatment (and lying down for four hours post)
â– Neuromodulator treatments during pregnancy and while nursing (it’s our policy not to inject people who are pregnant)
â– Facials immediately post-treatment
POST-TREATMENT

Downtime + Effects
Wrinkle Relaxers require no downtime. You may experience small red bumps that look like bug bites, but they usually go away within the hour.
Undesirable outcomes — though unlikely — are both temporary and addressable. Headache, minor bruising, or swelling at the injection site are the most common (but still rare) side effects.

Follow-Up
We’ll text you to check in on your progress and to see if you’d like to set up a 14-day follow-up appointment. Sometimes you may need a little tweak.

What is Dermal Filler? What does it do?
Subtle changes uses Revanesse and Juvederm dermal fillers made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a sugar found naturally in our skin that binds with water and helps keep it hydrated and plump. Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines, restore volume and fullness in the face.

How does the Procedure work?
We begin with a consultation to determine the best product to achieve the desired result. We then administer either numbing cream or ice to ease discomfort and control swelling during the procedure. We then use either a fine needle or cannula to strategically inject the product into the desired area. Injections can be administered gradually over a series of appointments until the desired result is achieved.
Who is a good candidate?
Dermal filler is excellent for anyone over 20 years old looking to restore volume, correct asymmetry, or regain balance in the face.
Treatment Areas?
Treatment areas include the lips, cheeks, jawline, fine lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, vertical lip lines, under eyes, and temples.

When will I see the results? Is there any downtime?
Results are noticeable immediately following your treatment. Swelling and bruising may appear but will subside within 3-5 days. Depending on the area being treated, dermal fillers can last anywhere between 4-12 months.

What is Medical Microneedling?
Medical Microneedling is a procedure that combines a medical-grade micro-needling device with a topical skincare regime. Microneedling is an electrical device used to cause micro-injuries on the skin's surface while simultaneously infusing moisture, vitamins, and antioxidants into your skin, consequently stimulating new collagen formation.
How does the procedure work?
We begin with a consultation to determine if medical micro-needling is right for you and your skin type (this treatment is not suitable for those with active acne). To begin the procedure, we administer a topical numbing cream to help combat the potential of discomfort during the process. Then, the electric micro-needling pen gently punctures the skin with tiny, sterile needles, allowing the skin to create channels where the skin can absorb products at a rate 200 times greater than traditional topical skincare.
Medical Microneedling is clinically proven to reduce the look of scars and stretch marks, minimize fine lines and wrinkles, treat loose skin, uneven texture, brown spots, and pigment issues.
When will I see the results?
Results from medical micro-needling can be seen immediately. Your skin will look instantly rejuvenated! Furthermore, studies show that micro-needling can improve the production of your skin's collagen and elastin up to six months following multiple treatments.
